BOB DYLAN’S COLLABORATION WITH POST MALONE STILL ISN’T FINISHED

At the height of the pandemic, Bob Dylan crafted song lyrics for Post Malone to sing. While the lyric-sharing happened a few years ago, the well-meaning exchange still hasn’t come full circle. The idea was the brainchild of music producer Michael Cash—who told Rolling Stone he pitched the idea of Malone covering “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right,” to Dylan’s manager. A few weeks later Dylan himself said he wanted Malone to play a song he wrote called “Be Not Deceived,” which was a tribute to the disappearance of innocence. While Cash said the song was nearly halfway done, the project is still not finished and only Dylan and his agent have the music rights to get the collaboration across the finish line.
